    No Bullshit - Just Racing

    Our motto tells our ambitions!

If you like to compete, like to know the taste of victory and enjoy the thrill of taking 0-100 in 2.6, we have something to talk about.

We are working to create a raw, fast and clean race. Shortcar is and should be easy to build, easy to own, easy to operate, and insanely fun to drive.
In 2012 there are 50 Shortcar that race around the Norwegian courts. We had our first Swedish driver (which har49 tough competitors) and we will get more over the next few years.

    The cars are standardized

All Shortcar have the same frame, same suspension, Rear panel, steering, brakes, shocks, body, etc. It is not possible to buy more expensive parts than those offered as standard with the car. There are three reasons for this:

    1. The cars should be as level as possible in performance when it comes to parts. But even if the parts are equal, there is much that separates the cars from each other when it comes to how they set up for each race.
    2. The cost for each driver should be as low as possible. When all the essential parts are standardized, there will not be possible to buy shares in quality to ensure a faster car.
    3. Security. All major parts are delivered from Shortcar. This ensures the quality of the parts.

    The series is well-regulated

Norway championship Shortcar have a very tight regulations. Probably the tightest of all classes.
This also helps to ensure class equality and keep costs down.

    The environment is inclusive

All running Shortcar help each other. It is not difficult to travel on race alone and ask for help when you need a hand extra, or more if necessary. The social environment is an important factor for most drivers.

    The story behind Shortcar

Tommy Kongsten developed due to the sketches and ideas to the prototype Shortcar and the first prototype was completed in the spring of 2000. After this, several enthusiasts attended to further develop the car, series and later the company Shortcar.

The first race was at the Rallycross Kraby forest where we participated as a guest class in 2001 with 4 participants. The basic design has been the same since 2002, and with numerous small improvements along the way.
They are still so similar that all cars use the same parts, regardless of model year.

Lap times challenged virtually every year. The drivers get more and more experience with setup, operation and maintenance. The cars pressed harder and lap times go down. Our job as designers is no longer to get it to go faster, but to ensure security, share, quality and delivery security.
