Facts about Shortcar
- Shortcar approved by the FIA through the Norwegian Automobile Sport Federation.
- Shortcar is both a racing class and a race car.
- Shortcar not run together with other classes during the race.
- It is classified in to run in the disciplines of racing, Rallycross, and fell running.
- The car was developed in Norway and the Norway Cup runs and other races in Norway and Sweden in 2011.
Technical data
- Size: 250cm long x 150 cm wide.
- Weight: approx. 500 kg including the driver. Motor effect determines the total weight.
- Engines: Usually 1000ccm. Most used the Yamaha R1, Suzuki GSXR1000RR, Honda CBR1000 and Kawasaki ZX-10.
- Effect: Normally between 170 and 200 hp. No trimming is permitted.
- Acceleration 0-100: 2.6 seconds.
- Top speed: untested, but well above 220 The cars are usually driven to each path so that we log ratios: 6th at the end of a long pull.

The 2011 season will be 50 cars that can participate in Norway Cup.
